A masterclass for anyone.
This session will consider how arts for health and wellbeing interventions are planned and evaluated, and will consider appropriate designs and methods, including approaches drawing on qualitative methods, and more structured, controlled quantitative research designs. Particular attention will be given to the frameworks for design and evaluation in arts, health and wellbeing promoted by the charity Arts Enterprises with a Social Purpose (AESOP). Consideration will also be given to the growing importance of systematic reviewing and Cochrane Reviews in the field. A number of recent case studies of arts, health and wellbeing research will be examined.
